The Power of Sharing Art

Textured Art
I create many diverse styles of art, from textile pieces to fluid art, macrame, jewellery and even painted sneakers! There is no one style that defines my work, it’s more a case of whatever takes my fancy in the creative moment. It’s all about texture and colour and how it is interpreted in the creative process. Acrylic paints are mainly used, as well as a chalk based paint called Frenchic, which is British made and non-toxic so safe to use even on the skin! The use of fabrics, buttons, ribbons, wools and beads feature in some of my pieces and I especially like to upcycle and recycle fabric to create new works of art.

Grief Art
When my husband, Chris, died in February of 2022 I created a huge piece of work from all his shirts, and edged it with denim jeans. I now offer “Grief Art” to people who have lost their loved ones and want to create a stunning momento to remember their special person. I can take clothing, scarves, ties, jeans, buttons, beads, bedding even and turn it in to wall art. It’s not cushions and teddy bears, other people do that, but the wall art is something that everyone in the family can enjoy and take part in creating memories.

Sharing Art
As with all art, it's unique! Therefore it can’t be replicated, so you’re purchasing a one-off piece of Jago art. Feel the love that has gone in to the piece, treasure it, admire it, share it with others and the joy that it brings you. If it ever needs to leave your home to go to another, for whatever reason, gift it to someone who admired it once….the best pay it forward movement you can be part of, bringing joy to others.
